live performance pieces, multisensory, audience-participatory experiences
are another poetic offering. Such as Behind the Curtain, an immersive one-man
show of ‘theatre-on-paper’ that made its debut in New York City in 2018
an intimate-format show that’s differently-staged, setting to setting.
A visually-driven experience, paired with original poems that speak to,
converse with the imagery; including digital projection, candlelight
and curated-and-choreographed music
these shadow-plays on paper and screen tableaux vivants of a kind;
from the heroic to the erotic, the playful to the sensual and soulful;
mysterious, lyrical. Full of fervor, full of (water)colorful characters
in a bow to the traveling theatre companies of Shakespearean and Dickensian times
~ with live in their own way actors, appearing characters ~ this show is designed
to travel kinetically, immersively and exuberantly, around the country and abroad…
and be presented to any kind of small or larger, public or private audience.
Including stagings for fundraising events and membership development campaigns.
Behind the Curtain will be appearing in various cities in 2019, including San Francisco,
Denver and Los Angeles, as part of a North American touring project
