a poetorial, spoken, visual, musical & written, about kea, a mountainous island in the aegean, where fabled greek poets walked and mused, gods resided; where a potent sea, sun and winds ever flow, timelessly, mythically, cycladically ...

Moving Over Millennia

My feet move

over millennia

of men's sandaled footsteps

on these dromas.

Rising and falling

with the terrain

just as they rose and fell;

on cool marble underfoot.

Walking under hours of sun.

Over marble and dry earth

scattered with acorn shells.

Between stone-stacked walls

and olive groves.

Through curtains of cicadas,

wind, breath.

Sometimes with glimpses

of celadon and cerulean:

oases of sea.

My feet move

with mindfulness

over their millennia.
